Safe Walking and Driving
In order to keep our students safe, we are asking that parents that are picking up their children (either in car or by foot) follow the rules and model safe walking and driving behaviours.
- Use designated walk-ways and sidewalks
- Do NOT walk across the bus lanes
- No pedestrian traffic in the parking lot and/or bus lanes
- Walk bicycles, skateboards and scooters while on school property (students are required to bring their own lock and lock personal modes of transportation - skateboards, bicycles, scooters - outside on our bicycle racks)
- If you need to pick up your child from the inside of the school, use the intercom located at side entrance
To ensure a safe and smooth transition for all students, parent and guardian vehicles are not permitted in the school parking lot during the following times:
8:50–9:30 a.m.
3:20–3:50 p.m.
These are our busiest times for student movement, and limiting vehicle traffic helps us maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and families. If you are dropping off or picking up your child during these windows, please use areas outside the parking lot. You are always welcome to walk your child to the school doors.
We appreciate your cooperation and continued partnership in keeping our students, families, staff and community members safe.
